Overview

The draft of the history of Christian Inter College was prepared by collecting it from various sources. During the British rule, at the end of the eighteenth century, some missionaries came to Jhansi, including Shri G. S. Ulman and Rev. Mrs. James, Mr. M. Halcomb are the main names.

In the beginning of the 20th century, some missionaries of the American Presbyterian Church came to India whose main objective was to Preach, Teach & Heal and as a result they established church schools and hospitals. In this sequence, the school was established by the American Presbyterian Church, United States of America. Later, after the establishment of the Church of North India, all its movable and immovable properties were transferred to the Church of North India Trust Association. Architecturally, the founder of the school was Mr. Heslop who was succeeded by Mr. Rev. Dr. Henry J. Fargar, in the same sequence, Mr. Rev. Dr. Henry J. Fargar laid the foundation of the Christian Interest School in 1910 AD. He was also the manager and superintendent of Christian Boys Hostel. The first headmaster of the school was Shri K. N. Das was appointed. In 1912 it became a middle school. The main building of the school was constructed from 1914 to 1919. On August 25, 1916, the Corner Stone of the school was dedicated, which is currently installed on the left side of the main entrance of the school.

In 1932 the school became a high school and in 1934 the first 11 students took the high school examination. After initially getting recognition for Arts stream, the school also got recognition for Science stream. In July 1974, the then Bishop Ra. With the help of Rev. Deendayal, new classrooms were built and after the school got the recognition of finance-free science category in 1989, intermediate level physics, chemistry and biology laboratories were constructed. At present, Shri M.C. Singh is the Principal of the college since the year 2013.
